The Youth Cancer Summit was the first event of its kind in Australia which aimed to give young cancer patients, survivors, their caregivers and families, the opportunity to come together, connect, share experiences and gain access to information, resources and services that help them support each other throughout the cancer journey.

The event featured a mixture of formal/informal sessions, interactive workshops, exhibitions and social functions (the highlight being a surprise performance by Sony Artist, Samantha Jade).

The AYA Oncology Congress followed the Youth Summit and brought together health care professionals who work with young adult patients and survivors. This event was a traditional medical conference and featured plenary sessions, abstract presentations, posters, exhibition displays and a number of social events such as a welcome reception and gala dinner.
